Workshop with Mareike Buchmann
A unique knowledge is stored in our bodies. A knowledge that empowers us to act independently. A knowledge that enables us to do things. Through our movements we transfer this knowledge into the world. Through our movements we are effective! In this workshop we will activate and explore our body knowledge together. We will experience our dancing bodies as a versatile, inexhaustible and energetic source of expression and at the same time establish a practice of care and responsibility – towards our bodies and all other bodies.
Mareike Buchmann works as a dance and performance artist, choreographer and movement researcher. For her, dancing means entering into a relationship with oneself, with the world and with others. Dancing is research in movement. She is particularly interested in practices that make one’s own orientation perceptible and at the same time offer possibilities for re-/or dis-orientation. Her practices focus on empathic responsibility, participatory presence, moving perspectives, real connections, and decentralized imaginaries.
