Workshop with Dorsey Bushnell
Which new things have I experienced about myself since March 2020? If the world, as Shakespeare says, is a stage, how do I behave after 1.5 years of restrictions and many inconceivable events on the world stage? How do I encounter other people now? As a trainer, I give theme-based movement, painting and writing exercises with playful ease into the space. A creative development process begins with the goal of stimulating one’s own original self-expression, developing openness for new forms of communication and thus entering into exchange with others. The workshop is for diverse femininities (Womxn) who are looking for new resources to discover their multiple creative forms of self-expression.
Dorsey Bushnell, born 1955, USA/Germany-based, is trained in Expressive Arts Education in Switzerland and the USA and has worked self-employed for over 20 years in various dance/theater projects and workshops with teenagers, adults and migrant women in this field. Furthermore, she was the personal assistant of choreographer William Forsythe for 12 years, mentor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in the Master of Contemporary Dance Education Program and at beramí berufliche Integration e.V. She is a co-founder, speaker and co-coordinator of the Women’s March Frankfurt am Main.
