Das St\u00fcck folgt der Geschichte einer Frau aus Kurdistan im deutschen Exil auf der Suche nach ihrer Stimme. In einer Kombination aus traditionellem Gesang, zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Performance, Tanz und Storytelling erkundet es, was es f\u00fcr eine Frau bedeutet, eine Dengb\u00eaj zu werden \u2013 eine Rolle, die historisch von M\u00e4nnern dominiert wurde.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Die Performance bewegt sich zwischen Erinnerung, Migration und Tradition und fragt:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wie erz\u00e4hlt man seine Geschichte, wenn die eigene Stimme in einer anderen Sprache gefangen ist?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Wir singen in Abwesenheit all jener, die wir kennen. Wir m\u00fcssen in einem fremden Land, in dem alle gemein zueinander sind, Freundschaften schlie\u00dfen. Wir sind Dengb\u00eaj in der Disco<\/i> und reichen mit Kabeln zu unseren Wurzeln.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Biographie:<\/strong> H\u00eaja Netirk ist Theatermacherin, Performerin, S\u00e4ngerin und Komponistin aus Hamburg. Ihre Arbeit bewegt sich zwischen Musik, Theater und Performance, kurdischer Erz\u00e4hltradition und Mehrsprachigkeit. Sie ver\u00f6ffentlichte die Soloalben Stran\u00ean Ne\u015fu\u015ft\u00ee<\/i> und Pistepistek Blind<\/i> und gr\u00fcndete die Band LOMA REQS, deren Deb\u00fctalbum Qemir\u00ee<\/i> 2026 erschien. Im selben Jahr wurde die Band mit dem Hamburger Popmusikpreis Krach + Get\u00f6se ausgezeichnet. F\u00fcr Hito Steyerls Mechanical Kurds<\/i>, ausgezeichnet mit dem S+T+ARTS Grand Prize 2026, arbeitete sie als Musikproduzentin, S\u00e4ngerin, Songwriterin und Executive Producer. Sie ist Mibegr\u00fcnderin des kurdischen BAN Theaters und komponierte u. a. f\u00fcr Der Hoffnungsvogel<\/i> am Jungen Ensemble Stuttgart. 2025 entwickelte und inszenierte sie Dengb\u00eaj in the Disco<\/i> am LICHTHOF Theater in Hamburg<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

From Kurdistan to Germany, the play follows the story of a woman in exile searching for her voice. Combining traditional singing, contemporary performance, dance, and storytelling, the play explores what it means for a woman to become a Dengb\u00eaj, a role historically dominated by men.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The performance moves between memory, migration and tradition, asking:
\nHow do you tell your story when your voice is trapped inside another language?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We sing in the absence of everybody and everyone that we know. We have to make friends in a foreign land where everybody is mean to each other. We are Dengb\u00eaj in the Disco<\/i>, reaching our roots with cables.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Biography:<\/strong> H\u00eaja Netirk is a theatre maker, performer, singer, and composer based in Hamburg. Her work operates at the intersection of music, theatre, and performance, drawing on Kurdish storytelling traditions and multilingualism. She released the solo albums *Stran\u00ean Ne\u015fu\u015ft\u00ee* and *Pistepistek Blind* and founded the band LOMA REQS, whose debut album *Qemir\u00ee* was released in 2026. That same year, the band received the Hamburg pop music award “Krach + Get\u00f6se.” She worked as a music producer, singer, songwriter, and executive producer on Hito Steyerl\u2019s *Mechanical Kurds*, which won the S+T+ARTS Grand Prize in 2026. She is a co-founder of the Kurdish BAN Theater and composed music for productions such as *Der Hoffnungsvogel* at the Junges Ensemble Stuttgart.
