Die Tanz-Performance \u201cShaking the prophecy oder wie ein Monster k\u00fcsst\u201d spielt mit gesellschaftlichen und mediatisierten Idealen von Sch\u00f6nheit und Macht. Jaunich und Deck erschaffen ihre eigenen Monster und transformieren schamlos g\u00e4ngige patriachale Sichtweisen auf weiblich gelesene K\u00f6rper und deren Verhaltensnormen. Ein lustvolles Aufbegehren auf die ewige Erz\u00e4hlung der sanften und liebreizenden Frau.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Biographie:<\/strong> Agnetha Jaunich (sie\/ihr oder they\/them) ist Performance-K\u00fcnstlerin, Choreografin und Artistic Researcher. In ihrer Arbeit versteht sie den K\u00f6rper als gesellschaftlich gepr\u00e4gten und politischen Ort. Performance begreift sie als Form k\u00fcnstlerischer Forschung, durch die sie verk\u00f6rpertes Wissen erfahrbar macht und neue Perspektiven auf K\u00f6rperlichkeit er\u00f6ffnen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jan Deck arbeitet seit mehr als 20 Jahren interdisziplin\u00e4r als freier Regisseur, Dramaturg, Autor mit Profis und Nicht-Profis und zu gesellschaftlichen Themen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ariella Karatolou, geboren in Athen, studierte Architektur an der Technischen Universit\u00e4t Athen, sowie B\u00fchnen- und Kost\u00fcmbild am Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Gro\u00dfbritannien. 2014 kam sie nach Deutschland und arbeitete unter anderem bei Ida M\u00fcller & Vegard Vinge, Constanza Macras | Dorky Park und an der Schaub\u00fchne Berlin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nMaybe you\u2019ll never want to leave.
\nMaybe it was prophesied.
\nMaybe not.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The dance performance *Shaking the Prophecy (or How a Monster Kisses)* plays with societal and media-driven ideals of beauty and power. Jaunich and Deck create their own monsters and shamelessly transform prevailing patriarchal views on bodies read as female and their associated behavioral norms. It is a spirited rebellion against the age-old narrative of the gentle, lovely woman.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Biography:<\/strong> Agnetha Jaunich (she\/her or they\/them) is a performance artist, choreographer, and artistic researcher. In her work, she views the body as a site that is both socially shaped and political. She conceives of performance as a form of artistic research through which she makes embodied knowledge tangible and opens up new perspectives on physicality.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jan Deck has been working interdisciplinarily for over 20 years as a freelance director, dramaturg, and writer, collaborating with both professionals and non-professionals on projects addressing social issues.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
