International Women‘s* Theatre Festival

Womxn and Peace – Workshop on Collective Creation

FULLY BOOKED

Patricia Ariza

Collective creation is a system that facilitates the formation of groups and collectives with the aim of creating plays in a group through the active participation of each member. It includes motivation, research, improvisation and analysis. The system has its origin in a creation and research laboratory of the groups Candelaria and Teatro Experimental de Cali in Colombia and has spread throughout the continent. It has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by the city of Bogotá because of the large number of groups practicing it. It requires a director who helps to maintain the unity of the group’s objectives and to develop the dramaturgy through a process. It is not only about the participation of the members, but also about initiating a development process of their different individual talents. In this multi-session workshop, a collective creation will be developed on the pressing issue of women and peace.

Please note:

The workshop is open to all genders.

It lasts four days and ends with a presentation of the results. This final performance will take place on Friday at 7pm at the festival.
