–  Ivana Milenović Popović und Milica Petrović – DAH theatre

The HOPE Workshop is a program designed to empower (young) artists to use theatre as a tool for promoting peace and social justice engaging theatrical techniques and embodied forms of knowledge, all focused on exploring real-world issues like conflict resolution and community building. By actively involving participants in the creative process, it inspires and empowers them to become advocates for peace in their own lives and beyond.

 

DAH Theatre Research Center for Culture and Social Change

DAH Theatre is a professional, independent theatre and research center, founded in Belgrade in 1991. Working at the crossroads between theatre, dance, and the visual arts, through dedicated teamwork, for more than 30 years DAH creates daring artistic forms that inspire personal and social transformation. The work of DAH Theater aims to connect art with civil society, active citizenship, celebrating and promoting the dignity and respect of all people equally using contemporary theatre techniques. Over the years, DAH Theater has received numerous national and international awards for its work and contribution to culture which have cemented their position as one of the most influential theater companies in the region.

    Ivana Milenović Popović is an actress, performer, dancer and project manager from Belgrade, Serbia. She is currently in her final year of Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at the Belgrade Dance Institute. She has been a core member of the DAH Theater since 2008 and performs in almost all plays and performances of DAH Theater. Along with her artistic career, she works as an expert in the field of project management and marketing in culture. As a dedicated advocate for contemporary theatre and human rights, she has engaged in various local, regional, and international seminars, festivals, and women’s initiatives, and co-founded the DAH Theatre International Festival of Arts and Human Rights (2020) in Serbia.

    Milica Petrović is a theatre and film actress based in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade in 2014. After graduation, she collaborated with several Serbian theaters and had roles in TV series and films. In 2020 she started collaborating with DAH Theatre as an actress and an audience developer. From 2021 she is a permanent member of DAH Theatre. In addition to acting, she is interested in organization and communications and has been a part of several European projects. Her interests extend to other fields of art, such as music and writing.
